In East and Southeast Asian cultures, a red pocket is a monetary gift given during holidays or for special occasions such as a wedding, graduation, or the birth of a baby. The red packet is also called "money warding off old age" for Lunar New Year.

This red pocket uses an embossed bronzing process on high-quality thick tactile paper. There are two types with different Chinese characters, 福  Fortune Pocket and 吉Lucky Pocket.
